Brooks Pond just 5 minutes up the road from our shop

Howe State Park aka Spencer Forest. Off Route 31 South on Howe Road. Great hiking trails and this beautiful waterfall. Named after Elias Howe who invented the sewing machine, and was born and raised in our little town of Spencer.

Rivers, streams, ponds, lakes abound in our area. The tinge of fall in this photo gives a preview of the spectacular show to follow each fall where the best foliage in New England can be found.

Saint Joseph's Abby is 2 miles north of our driveway to theirs on Route 31. Visit the chapel on the hill for a peaceful setting. They also they have a great book/gift shop at foot of hill.

The first established memorial park to the Veterans Of The Vietnam War in the USA. Located at the South Spencer School House, South Spencer Rd, Spencer, Massachusetts. Dedicated to the memory of the three soldiers from Spencer who lost their lives during Vietnam. Mr. Benjamin, Mr. Berthiaume, and Mr. Blough.

Horses are great residents of our area. You might see them by a barn or on a trot on one of our back roads.

One of several waterfalls at Moore State Park in Paxton, about a 10 minute drive north on Route 31. A most beautiful park well maintained and full of wonder.

This beautiful shrub display at the Mary Queen of the Rosary Cemetery in Spencer asks for prayers for the dead and also prayers for the USA. This is at the sight of the George White Memorial Garden. This planting has been here since the 30's. Today the shrubs are lovingly maintained by the Church Deacon Harry Sweet. It is located between Meadow Road and Route 9 in Spencer.

You will still see cows in the fields of Central Massachusetts. The story goes you can tell if it is going to rain by the number of cows laying down in the field, it looks like a 20% chance with this photo.
