One of several waterfalls at Moore State Park in Paxton about a 10 minute drive north on Route 31... A most beautiful park well maintained and full of wonder..

Saint Joseph's Abby is 2 miles north of our driveway to theirs on Route 31.... visit the chapel on the hill for a peaceful setting.. also they have a great book/gift shop at foot of hill.
Open space abounds in our area here a freshly mowed field with the hay bales making a beautiful setting on an early morning in September.

Howe State Park aka Spencer Forest... off Route 31 South on Howe Road... great hiking trails and this beautiful waterfall... Named after Elias Howe who invented the sewing machine...and was born and raised in our little town of Spencer.

A rainbow heralds the passing of summer and the start of our beautiful fall season.... usually third week in Sept through October for the best color in the world ...but being New England could come early or late... but it is worth seeing...

Flowers abound during season along the roadside and in neighbors yards a constant changing of color and style of flowers... These Rhodys are in full bloom in late spring.

"Something there is that doesn't love a wall,....Good fences make good neighbors. Robert Frost said it well the beauty of stonewalls are everywhere to be seen.... they once walled off a pasture now turned to dense forest... hiking in the area you will find them in the dense woods... once the woods had been cleared for farming now the woods have taken back the open pasture...

Horses are great residents of our area. You might see them by a barn or on a trot on one of our back roads... The Spencer Fair grounds is just down the road from here and it boasts an actual Horse track where you might see a race horse training on the track as you pass by...

Rivers, streams, ponds, lakes abound in our area ...the tinge of fall in this photo gives a preview of the spectacular show to follow each fall where the best foliage in New England can be found...

This beautiful red maple tree is called the "Center Tree" it is located in Rutland Massachusetts and marks the geographic center of the state...

You will still see cows in the fields of Central Massachusetts and your kids will learn there are other colored cows than the Ben and Jerry cows... The story goes you can tell if it is going to rain by the number of cows laying down in the field...looks like a 20% chance with this photo..

A red dog named Clancy.... resides at our farm... He usually is in the shop to greet and visit with customers...stop by and say hello...

Friendly goats to make you smile..... These happy fellows reside at Flo's Country Store and Farm stand in Rutland Ma.. about 15 minutes away.

This beautiful shrub display at the Mary Queen of the Rosary Cemetery in Spencer ask for prayers for the dead and also prayers for the USA. This is at the sight of the George White Memorial Garden.. George White cared for the property of the church for several decades and was responsible for establishing this beautiful statement in shrub form... He laid out shingles on the grass on the hillside spelling out the letters... then removed the sod and planted the shrubs... This planting has been here since the 30's... In the late 80's vandals destroyed the shrubs .. but a local landscaper and selectman in town Richard Monette saw to the replanting of the shrubs and at that time establish the George White Memorial garden... Today the shrubs are lovingly maintained by the Church Deacon Harry Sweet... Take a ride out to see it if you have not already... it is located between Meadow Road and Route 9 in Spencer.

This covered bridge is located on Bridge St in Gilbertville (a part of the town of Hardwick) just off route 32.... It was restored in the past few years and was closed to traffic. It is now open and about a 15 minute ride from our shop... It is located in two different towns...Hardwick and Ware and also in two different counties of the state... Worcester and Hampshire... It is a beautiful treasure of Central Massachusetts...
